Team coaching

Kerttu's team coaching session was the perfect start for our finance team's first kick-off, with 21 people from eight countries meeting face-to-face for the first time. It was pitched at exactly the right level for a first meeting. We got to know each other's working styles and cultural perspectives, and had productive conversations about how to improve our collaboration.

The biggest change I saw was in how people behaved. Kerttu created a safe environment for participants to share their personal behaviour manners. We left with clear action points and have already changed how we work on several things. We now have a strong foundation to build on, and I would definitely recommend Kerttu to other teams.

Working with Kerttu has been valuable for me in several ways. She helped me strengthen my management thinking by recommending high-quality books and frameworks, especially around topics that are often overlooked: how to run effective meetings, how much information is enough before making a decision, and how to balance discussion with action.

What I appreciated most is that Kerttu does not simply give generic advice. She creates space to think proactively about decisions, while also being honest and direct when she sees mistakes or blind spots. That combination of support and frankness is rare.

I would describe her mentorship style as similar to an assistant coach working alongside a head coach. You remain responsible for your own decisions, but you have someone thoughtful, trusted, and private with whom you can discuss ideas, doubts, fears, and next steps. For me, this helped create more clarity, confidence, and momentum.

I reached out to Kerttu after being laid off and struggling to find traction in my job search, I was starting to consider roles completely outside my background, and wasn’t sure what of myself would transfer. She suggested a coaching session, and it gave me clarity I didn’t expect. Through a visualisation exercise, picturing an ordinary day five years from now, I reconnected with values and strengths I already had but had lost sight of during the search. That clarity helped me identify which strengths could apply outside my field, and I carried it through an entire recruitment process for a role outside my expertise. It gave me clarity and confidence throughout the process, at exactly the moment I needed it.

I was burnt out and had started to question my own skills. Through our sessions, I realised my frustration was not a skill issue, but a deep conflict of values. The biggest change is the clarity I now have about my worth, my core values and what I expect from the employer. I have stopped over-committing at the expense of my own well-being, established firm professional boundaries, and now confidently target only those environments that offer autonomy and value people.
